Nature Trail
This hike is perfect for anyone who enjoys long walks and time spent in nature. The nature trail takes you through the natural park Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja, founded in 1989 and considered the green lungs of this city because it contains so much vegetation from all over the world, including two colorful salt lakes that cover an area of about 1400 hectares (or almost 30% of the park).
Unusual museum
Spain’s first submarine fleet was formerly called “Dolphins” because of their sleek and fast design. The S-61 Dolphin is now a museum ship in the port city of Torrevieja, and visitors have the rare opportunity to see what life was really like in such a ship – although it can be claustrophobic when visiting this impressive boat.
